Spring may finally be here!!!

I hope today is a sign of good things to come! It was so nice to be able to walk around the lot without shivering or running to get inside.

Today, the air was clear and the warm sun was perfect. Good things to come.

We have a new service manager, Leasa, and she's been great with our techs and our customers.

We have a HUGE sale going on this week from Wednesday to Sunday. There is a contest to win a 2008 Chrysler Aspen. It's really exciting because I hope someone wins it!!!!

We have new cars coming in every day...new and used.

What a great thing spring brings!!!

Happy April Fool's Day!!!

Too bad I'm not of a prankster...I would totally take advantage of this day but I just don't have to time to invest into this day. To all those who pulled off a great joke, I hope you had fun!!!

Well, I was away for a week in New York due to a family funeral. A tragic car accident took a precious life and I mourn the loss of my cousin. (Please wear your seat belts everyone!!!) It was a tough trip but I managed to also meet up with friends and family to keep my spirits up. On one of the days, I made my way to the New York International Auto Show. It was amazing to see so many cars and prototypes that only the cities like NYC, Detroit, and LA get to display. The Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge display was quite impressive and they had some fun things to look at like a stretch 300 limo with the driver area being exposed like a golf cart! They also had the 2009 Aspen Hybrid on display. The gas mileage was not posted, but Chrysler said it's coming soon. I am excited to be able to bring this car to Spokane and test drive the 2-stage dual HEMI/Hybrid engine. Who would have thought that those 2 words could be used to describe ONE engine???!! It's almost like that's an April Fool's joke!!!! But this Aspen is for real and it is going to be exciting. The other things I noticed were that many of the prototype vehicles from the different brands were mostly 4-door sedans. I think most auto manufacturers are making a return back to the sedan after the huge SUV explosion of the 90's and the Crossovers happening right now. That will be nice to see. I think that will also help with fuel efficiency and curbing the carbon footprint a bit. I did sit in a SMART car though to see what the buzz was all about. It was bigger than I expected. The interior will hold 2 adult men, however, with the semi-trucks and Dodge Ram 3500 trucks on the road, I wouldn't feel too protected in an accident. I would NEVER put my wife and son in a car that small with such big cars/trucks on the road. But I can see how some people would use it for city use or short distances. All in all, it was great to go to a "real" car show where the manufacturers spend the big bucks to win consumers and show off the future concepts.
