Still 4 to go!!!

We still need to sell 4 new vehicles by Friday. Please call or come on in if you have any interest at all!!!

And then there are 6 days left until the election......Jay and I have already voted but I think I will watch the 30 minute ad by Obama tonight anyway. Not because we have so much time but just to see if there is anything new. Probably not with it being so close to the end but it's still interesting to have 30 minutes devoted to just one candidate.

I am loving the price of gas these days!!! Now if only groceries would get cheaper and banks would stop hoarding their money so people could get loans.....

Phillies....

They could do it tonight!!!! Well, my husband spent 20 years of his life in Daytona Beach, FL so he's a little partial to Tampa Bay. Me, on the other hand, has no real affiliation to either team... EXCEPT that Mr. Jamie Moyer is on the Phillies...and that's enough for me to root for them. How awesome that he can win a World Series ring (do they get a ring????) or whatever piece of jewelry they get at his age!!! I mean, he's up against guys half his age. My hats off to him...

On the car news...no news news on the Chrysler/GM story. Although the media says talks have increased.....but for us, it's all quiet.

New car sale...only FOUR MORE TO GO!!!!!! Please, if you need a new car OR know someone who does.....this is the time to buy!!!!

There is such a thing as a free lunch!

That seems to be true especially at Spokane Chrysler. This couple came in last weekend and wanted to purchase a car. They chose one but I think it was a little more than they wanted to spend. They should have turned to a different car, but they didn't and my husband spend 2 hours with them himself. During that time period, they were very hungry so my husband gave them his lunch that I had brought. What dealership OWNER would give them his own lunch???? Well, my husband would...he's just that type of guy. And guess what....they bought a car elsewhere. Can you believe it??????

I'm just hoping that this couple is saying how nice it was at Spokane Chrysler even though the deal didn't work out. That thought makes me feel better about the whole thing.

5 more to go....

We sold a new 300 last night so we have only 5 more to sell. I know you think this sounds like a huge ploy to just get you to buy, but it's real. You can even ask my husband, Jay. We would like to sell 5 (or more!!!) by the end of the month.....

If you know anyone who needs a new Chrysler, it could be a nice little way to make some cash as well. We will give you a "bird dog" for the referral!!!

NEW CAR SALE!!!

This is NO BULL! We need to sell 6 new cars by the end of the month. If you need a sweet deal or know of something looking for a new Chrysler, give my husband a call. Jay will make sure you are taken care of.

see-saw days

As the markets are up one day and down the next, I find comfort in the fact that I have no money in the stock market. Of course, I know the market is integrated in other areas of my life but how much CNBC can I watch? The Ellen DeGeneres Show is much easier to handle!

The good news is that the price of oil keeps falling and falling. It's at a 16 month low, is what I heard on the new stations. How excellent that at least I'll have a little more to spend at the end of the month now.

As for the rumors of the GM and Chrysler merger....we have no new news. The top execs have said it's like a couple who goes on a 1st date and the next thing you know, everyone is trying to name the future grand kids. So, I guess we will see if this is all just conjecture and a huge distraction or something that grabs traction.

GREAT DEBATE!!!

What a great performance by both of the presidential candidates last night! I think both sides are quite happy and I am glad that FINALLY some of the real issues were brought up. Of course, there was still some double talk and talking points but they talked about Roe V. Wade, health care, and the deficit. How wonderful!!! Stuff that people actually want to hear!!!

The economy is pointing towards a deep depression but we have to just keep on going and not get too irrational. Steady wins the race...right?

Well, if you are in for a great car deal......Spokane Chrysler is a great place to buy. My husband is bringing down our inventory since we're going into the winter months. Jay won't reject any reasonable offer. I know that 100%!!!

Down and Up

So the stock market went down 18% last week and rebounded 11% yesterday. We will have to see what happens the rest of this week.......

I saw that a gas station in Coeur D'Alene has gas for $2.99/gal. I wonder what the difference has to be before I take the drive over there for cheaper gas. I think at Costco it was $3.32/gal. I would say that $.30/gal is huge but the time to go there for just gas..is it worth it?

Even with the news of the bad economy, our sales have been ok. I guess when you need a car and you can find a good deal (my husband is VERY motivated to lower his inventory before the snow gets here), Spokane Chrysler is a great place to do business. Actually, I know that to be true because my husband puts his heart and soul into that place!!!!!

Merger? Acquisiton?

Interesting news article today that GM and Chrysler might merge or come together somehow. Very interesting to discuss and think about and what you know and what my husband and I know. I can't imagine that every single big company out there today will be able to survive this global "perfect storm". I'm assuming that there might be some big shocks.....just because no one is 100% safe when the economy is this bad.

I would like to see where this goes. It might be a good thing for a single stand alone Chrysler store in Spokane, WA! :)

Worst week ever.....

Those are some troubling words but I guess, for the stock market, there is no other way to describe what happened this week. It almost seems like things are in free fall....world banks are freezing up and so on and so on. I have friends that have lost a small fortune in the 401k's or retirement investments and I know I have not looked yet at my VERY SMALL retirement account that I had while I was teaching in the Seattle school district but I'm sure it's not what it used to be. I guess if you didn't have much in savings...then you really didn't lose much!!!! That is the silver lining in all of this for me.

However, I went to Panda Express today in the Valley for a quick lunch. By the size of the lunchtime crowd and the fact that there wasn't a single empty table in the joint, you wouldn't think there was any type of recession happening at all. I guess people still got to eat!

And then I went to Wal-Mart after lunch and that place is always busy...regardless of time, day of the week, etc. They have my FAVORITE coffee creamer there and it was in stock so I was quite excited. (It was sold out the day before.) The CoffeeMate flavor is called Italian Sweet Cream and it's the best creamer I have ever had...hands down. It's better than any other holiday flavor even!!! The cashier saw that I was buying 4 bottles (yes, 4...couldn't reach the last one in the shelf..it was too high) and she said that a different lady bought 7 bottles and so she was quite inquisitive. It really is that good....I think I shall send a quick email to the CoffeeMate company.

If this sounds like I have too much time, it's not. The exact opposite it actually the truth...where I have ZERO time to myself so I have to hold on to one thing...my coffee!!!!! I forgot how much work a newborn is!!

Sorry for the delay

Well, I'm back in Spokane now and life should return back to normal. However, the holidays are right around the corner and I know that will turn things upside-down again. But such is life... right? This is how I know I'm alive...always on the move.

This bit of news is a little dated but I still thought I should include it in the blog since it's SOO exciting. Jay is actually very excited because he went to a meeting in Seattle last month that really talked about the 3 new electric cars that are coming out. The huge plus being that the electric minivan will be a Chrysler Town and Country. It's so weird to think that you can just plug your car into your regular wall outlet. Who would have ever thought??!!!
http://www.cnbc.com/id/26850309 Anyway, here is a link to a new article and pictures of the stuff the Chrysler is planning along the way as far as electric cars....Watch out Chevy Volt!!!

It has been SO grey and gloomy in Seattle that I forgot what it's like to have a sunny day in the fall. It's weird how you get so used to the grey that you can't imagine what this sunshine is doing for me today! Yes, it's windy but to see some sun??? It's amazing.

The 2nd presidential debate is on tonight. I'm very excited to see what is said. I have NEVER been so interested in an election in my whole life. I always used to vote straight along party lines and not even listen to or watch debates, news clips, etc. It was always very simply for me. See what party they are from and vote for the "right" one. Now, I'm actually being an educated voter and seeing who is more in line with what I think rather than party lines. I have a feeling that is what is happening across the nation....there is too much going on that makes it too dangerous NOT to know who you are voting for.

Sigh........the Dow Jones is down again today. yikes.............

The Sky is Falling!!!

I read a book with my 3 year old every night called "Henny Penny" where an acorn hits the hen and she runs to tell the king that the sky is falling. On the way there, she gets her other "fowl" family members to go along and in the end, they all get eaten by the fox while she goes back to lay her egg and never getting to tell the king. I almost feel like that is what is happening with the stock market and the politicians. President Bush gets on TV saying we are in desperate times and all of that and how we have to get a bailout passed and then it's defeated in the House of Reps. It doesn't even make it to the Senate!!!

So are we really facing the worst of times or is there a better way to solve the financial crisis? I want to know why the Republicans didn't support the bill. I also want to know why the Democrats that voted NO did so as well. What were the sticking points on each side? Instead of blaming each other, why not tell us why you voted yes or no? Also, I think the leaders did a terrible job in explaining why we need a bailout. There are a lot of people who think Wall St. shouldn't be bailed out but Main St. should be. However, does this mean people won't be able to get credit cards? Will credit card limits be lowered or stalled? Will people be able to get car loans still? What happens if the bailout doesn't happen?

There are too many questions and not enough answers.....so frustrating!
