Fiat 500 in 4 models!

Chrysler will be building 4 models of the Fiat 500 in early 2011. A hatchback, convertible, station wagon, and a sporty hatchback will be made according to an article in Automotive News (June 29, 2009). Also, a small, 4-wheel drive SUV could be included in that mix as well. HOW EXCITING!!! However, my first thought is....hatchback vs. sport hatchback? Sound the same to me. This is the "sporty" one below.......I guess it's more aggressive? Can you say that about a small car?????

Also, they will wear the Fiat name badge but be made in either a Chrysler plant in the US or the plant in Toluca, Mexico where they currently build the PT Cruiser.

If you are wondering about size, the Fiat 500 hatchback is 33 inches longer than the Smart Car and seats 4. It is only 10 inches shorter than a Toyota Yaris. I do not know if I can drive one with my 2 kids (that still require huge car seats/boosters) but I sure something can be worked out! They look quite attractive and I'm sure their fuel savings is enormous.
