To all you Hoopfesters this weekend:
GOOD LUCK and have a wonderful time in Spokane!!!
The weather should be beautiful for you and the downtown area is really nice to explore. Of course, I have not done too much of it, but there are many cute places to go, eat, and relax.
I enjoy the coffee at Rocket Bakery (http://www.rocketspokane.com/) and their whole wheat chocolate chip cookie is DELICIOUS and I feel "healthy" at the same time. TIP: For strong coffee drinkers, you might to add extra shots to your drink but it does not make it bitter at all!
The bakery items and coffee are also good at Madeleine's and so is the breakfast/lunch menu. (http://www.madeleines-spokane.com/)
Of course, the sandwiches at Domini's (703 W Sprague) are awesome. It's basically just meat and cheese. Their sweet hot mustard is delicious a well but the bread and the meat are the stars. You will not understand how just a meat and cheese sandwich wrapped in foil can be so good. There are the familiar favorites like the Nordstrom Cafe, the Pita Pit, Red Robin, and so on. It's familiar and filling. For more of a local restaurant, Twigs (in River Square Park Mall) has a great bar and bar menu, The Onion is a good family place with something for everyone, and Sushi.com (even though the name is funny) has great sushi and other Japanese food. There are so many places to eat that I can list them all!!!
For the kids, of course there is the huge Radio Flyer wagon to play on with the merry-go-round at the park and there is a kids' museum, Mobius (http://www.mobiusspokane.org/home.asp), to give the little ones something to do.
There is some nice shopping and cute shops to explore....if your basketballing comes to an end quicker than you wanted or expected.
I hope you have a great stay here and if you have time, stop by Spokane Chrysler! We have great deals to be had this weekend. Look at our inventory online: www.spokanechrysler.com
