So, it's quite chilly in the house and it's mid-June. I think my computer pop-up thing said it was 60 degrees outside. Then I start going online to see what is going on in the world today....and well.. things are changing in this world. Maybe for the better....maybe not.
Then I started reading and here are some more "Freaky Friday" items. First, the diesel Cummings engine will no longer be in the Ram 1500. I understand that it's a "light-duty" engine and probably, it wasn't the most popular engine choice for the 1500. However, the long-standing tradition of the Cummings engine in all the Ram trucks is now gone...like the Old Chrysler. But I guess these are the things that will make the New Chrysler leaner and more efficient. Get rid of the stuff that doesn't sell well and make the stuff that does. I love traditions but I guess I would rather have a profitable manufacturer than keep something do to nostalgia.

Next, I see that Formula One racing is breaking apart!! WHAT???? HUH??!!! Are you kidding me? There will be a creation of a rival championship by the eight "rebel" teams. So, I guess there will be 2 different series? I think money is at the center of this and about what percentage is being made by the owner of F1, the race tracks, the teams, etc. Wow. Jay will be shocked! I'm sure many people will be too since splitting a series in 2 usually hurts the sport. Well, we shall see how all of this works out.
Also, a truck manufacturer from India, Mahindra, is trying to break into the US market with their inexpensive trucks. According to the Detroit Free Press, they have picked up 2 past Chrysler dealers to start selling their trucks in the fall. I hope it's positive for them....but, is the US ready for MORE vehicles? Are we ready for cars from India?

And I'm sure as this day goes on, there will be more "weird" events that unfold. I can't wait!
Happy Friday everyone!!
